Music –Armenians love music, and they have been creating exquisite compositions for centuries. Sharakans are traditional Armenian liturgical songs, which are experiencing a revival today. Distinctive musical instruments are used to play Armenian folk songs. Sayat Nova, Komitas, and Aram Khachatryan are among Armenia's best-known musicians and composers.
Contemporary music comes in the forms of jazz and pop. Frequent concerts make for delightful evenings as the Philharmonic, Chamber Music Hall, Opera and Ballet Theatre. “Anush” and “Karmen” operas, “Gayane”  and “Spartak” ballets are represented in National Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre. Here you can also enjoy sclassic music concerts.
Jazz - There is the notion of Armenian jazz which is a unique combination of Armenian folk art and jazz. One of the most favourite  represenatatives of Armenian jazz is Arto Tunj Boyadjan.
“Malkhas” club is the well-known  jazz club in Yerevan.

Art Galleries - When referring to the art, Armenia is the place, where you may find a number of masterpieces dating back to the Middle Ages, which indicates Armenia's rich tales and stories of those times. Armenia gave number of great painters who are famed throughout the whole world, namely Hovhannes (Ivan) Ayvazovski, Martiros Saryan, Minas Avetisyan, Hakob Hakobyan, Grigor Khanjyan, Gevorg Bashinjaghyan, Arshile Gorky etc.
There are different art galleries in Yerevan. The biggest is  National Art Gallery. Here  one can see the pictures of  famous Armenian painters Aivazovski, M. Saryan, etc. There are also the Modern Art Gallery, Parajanov’s Art Gallery, etc in Yerevan. There are also abstract painters in Yerevan , who are having exhibitions  from time to time.

As Armenia is situated between East and West, you can enjoy the  products of these cultures in Yerevan. Here you can taste  typical Armenian as well as Chinise, Japonese, Spanish, Italian, French, Russian, Georgian dishes. Also you can enjoy the japonese, Turkish, Greek, Roman saunas.

Karaoke bars, bowling centers and discos - The most favourite places of armenian youth are karaoke bars ("Mama Mia","96"),bowling clubs ("Arena","Play city") and discos ("Giza",'One","Atlantic")

Spa and sport centers -  As Armenia is also living with the rythms of modern civilization, here there are centers with internationl standards where you can take care of your health and relax ( “Afrodite”  spa center ,“Golden Gym”, “Orangesport centers ”).
